Special times - special precautions
The ongoing pandemic brings major challenges for all Viennese balls. In 2023, Corona is still an issue that affects all
social occasions.
However, the Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball has a special position in this situation, as at least half
of the visitors are doctors. A COVID-19 cluster and the possibility of resulting sick leaves could, in the worst case, be
supply-relevant.
As doctors, we are aware of this special responsibility at the event. In order to avoid such a situation
and to make the ball as safe as possible, we have decided on a PCR testing strategy.
For admission to the Hofburg, all
ball visitors and employees need a PCR test that is not older than 72 hours.
It is
very important to us that all visitors feel safe and comfortable at the Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball, which is why we rely
on the proven testing strategy. We ask you to support our request as best as possible.
In order to make the admission
as smooth as possible, we kindly ask you to have the PCR test ready together with your ticket.
